Distributor Organization

Cisco Secure Trials Console has a special organization type which is a distributor organization. These organizations are designed to help distributors collaborate with partners, facilitating the setup of trials for their customers and overseeing the trials progress.

To provide visibility to the distributor organization within the partner's organization trials, partners must assign their distributor organization as a distributor to the partner's organization. For details, see Assign a Distributor

If the partner does not see their distributor organization as an option, they should request the distributor to create their distributor organization for assignment.

Note	Only one distributor organization can be assigned to a partner's organization.

Once designated, the distributor gains access to the partner's Secure Trials Console, where they can view trials within the partner's organization. In addition to various filtering and sorting capabilities available to the partner, the distributor can search and filter trials by partner organizations. The distributor has access to all trials created by partners who assigned them as their distributors. When a distributor accesses a partner's trial, they can only view it in read-only mode, with no editing capabilities.

Within the distributor organization, the distributor can also independently set up trials for customers, using the full functionality of the Secure Trials Console. The only difference is that distributors cannot assign other distributors, as the Distributor Organization holds the highest position in the organizational hierarchy.
