Managing Trial Requests

Partners have the facility to offer their customers a streamlined method of requesting trials for Cisco Secure products by providing a specific link leading to a Create Trial Request form. Integrated seamlessly with the partner's website, this link will bring customers directly to the form. Any trial requests generated through this link are tagged to the partner's organization.

This link to a Create Trial Request form can be located and copied from the Dashboard Co-branding tab in the Request form link section.

The feature is accessible solely to parent organizations, i.e., partners and distributors.

Submitting a Trial Request via the Request Form Link

The following are the steps for customers to submit a trial request using a link to the Create Trial Request form:

  • The partner shares a link to the Create Trial Request form with the customer.

  • The customer follows the link to open the form.

  • The customer completes all necessary fields in the form and then submits it.

    Note

The email address provided by the customer is crucial as it is used to send a validation code to confirm their identity and proceed with creating the trial request.

  • To initiate the trial request process, the customer will be prompted by the system to enter the validation code received via email upon submitting their trial request. If the code is entered incorrectly, the Resend button allows the user to receive a new code. This can be done up to three times consecutively. However, if after the third try the code is still incorrect, the Resend button becomes inactive for a 15-minute period.

  • Upon successfully submitting the form, the customer receives a confirmation email containing a unique request ID. This ID is shared with the partner for trial review and activation.

Viewing Trial Requests

Once submitted, all trial requests facilitated through a link to the Create Trial Request form become accessible and visible on the Requests tab. A notification beside the tab name will promptly inform you of any new requests.

Upon submission of a trial request via the provided link, the customer promptly receives a unique request ID via email. Subsequently, the customer shares this request ID with the partner, who can easily locate and activate the requested trial using the provided ID. Moreover, the partner retains the ability to delete the request as necessary.

As an alternative, partners can efficiently manage their workflow by sorting and filtering trial requests based on various parameters such as name, product, and date.

Upon successful activation of a trial, the corresponding trial request is automatically removed from the list on the Requests tab, ensuring a streamlined and clutter-free interface.
